EPOXY Thinner

EPOXY THINNER

Epoxy Thinner is a transparent, strong, fairly fast evaporating thinner that allows two-part epoxies to flow out smoothly and yet flashes out fast enough to prevent sags.

Epoxy thinner contains toluene, acetone, and isobutanol. Different solvents can be used inside of epoxy thinner. It is a mixture of hydrocarbons designs to thin out paints. The thinner is primarily used within the coatings industry in order to get the perfect bubble-free, sagging finish. It is great for leveling for epoxy paints and coatings.

Epoxy Thinner is not a solution or a solvent, also it is not hazardous and contains no VOC’s or phthalates. Solvents that are commonly used to thin epoxies cause shrinkage. Epoxy thinner is 100% reactive fluid, does not evaporate and does not cause shrinkage.

It should be stored and used all materials at 73°F / 23°C. Avoid breathing fumes – use in a well-ventilated area at a minimum. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves and rubber gloves to minimize skin contact. By adding the Epoxy into a solvent you can make it easy to apply as well as penetrating deeper into porous surfaces such as partially rotten wood and saturating faster into fiberglass fabric. For these reasons, many people are attracted to the idea of thinning epoxy.
